These terms apply to purchases from UnitedTechs, a trade name of D Bell Holdings, L.L.C., a Louisiana limited liability company ("we," "us").
1. What you are buying
When you buy software from UnitedTechs, a trade name of D Bell Holdings, L.L.C., you are buying a license to use that software. You are not buying the software itself. Each product is covered by its license agreement, which you can read before you buy. If that agreement conflicts with these terms, the agreement controls.
The software shows its license agreement during installation and again the first time you run it, before you can use it.
Each copy carries a unique serial number tied to your purchase.
If you do not accept the software's license agreement, you are entitled to a full refund.
Each product page says which type of licensing applies to that product: online licensing or offline licensing.
Online licensing
- Your license is activated online and checked online from time to time.
- A license covers one PC.
- You can move your license to a new PC. The old PC keeps working for up to 30 days after the move, and you get one of these 30-day moves in any 365-day period.
- If the PC cannot reach our server, the software keeps working for up to 30 days. After that it needs to check in online again.
- If the product works with a radio, the license covers one radio model, which is named on your license and order.
- If your purchase is refunded, or a payment dispute (chargeback) is decided against you, your license is revoked and the software stops working.
Offline licensing
- Your license is a license file or key that the software checks on your PC. It does not need to check in over the internet.
Sharing, reselling or redistributing copies is not allowed.
2. Who can buy
We currently sell only to buyers located in the United States. You must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian make the purchase and accept these terms.
3. Price and payment
Prices are in U.S. dollars. Payment is processed by Stripe, and we never see or store your full card number. Applicable sales tax may be added at checkout.
4. Delivery
The software is delivered electronically by email after payment. If it doesn't arrive within 24 hours, contact us through our contact form.
5. Operator responsibility
IDMinder assists with station identification. The licensed control operator remains fully responsible for complying with FCC rules, including 47 CFR §97.119, and for the safe operation of their station.
6. No warranty
The software is provided "as is," to the extent the law allows. We don't guarantee it will be error-free or work with every setup. To the extent the law allows, you waive the warranty against redhibitory defects under Louisiana Civil Code articles 2520 through 2548, and the warranty of fitness for use under article 2524. This does not limit your refund rights under our Refund Policy.
7. Limitation of liability
Our total liability for any claim related to the software is limited to the amount you paid for it. This limit does not apply to liability for intentional or gross fault, for physical injury, or to any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
8. Refunds
IDMinder software: a full refund if you ask within 14 days of purchase, as described in our Refund Policy. Community memberships: refunded only on request within 60 days of a charge (see section 9).
9. Community memberships
Community memberships on unitedtechs.net are automatically renewing yearly subscriptions: $1.00 per section per year, or $3.00 per year for all sections, plus any sales tax shown at checkout. We refund a membership charge only when you ask, within 60 days of that charge. Members must be 15 or older. Members aged 15 to 17 can claim free founding spots, but a paid membership for a member under 18 must be bought by a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms for the member. At paid checkout the buyer must confirm: "I am 18 or older, or I am a parent/guardian buying for a member aged 15-17." The Community Terms govern memberships and posting.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Louisiana, unless the law of your place of residence requires otherwise.
