Website Refund Policy (community memberships)
Version: 2026-10-20 · Effective: October 20, 2026 · Permanent page: /notices/website/refunds
This policy covers purchases made on our websites for community memberships on unitedtechs.net (bought and managed on unitedtechs.com). Software has its own refund terms: see our Software Refund Policy and each program's License Agreement.
Community memberships
- On request, within 60 days. If you are not banned, we refund a membership charge when you ask, within 60 days of that charge. This includes members who are or were suspended.
- Banned members. A banned member has no automatic or on-request refund. You may file a ban appeal, using the link in your ban notice, and state your case. The owner reviews every ban appeal personally, with the violations in front of him, and decides one of three things: the ban stays, you are refunded, or the ban is lifted. We email you his decision.
- Never automatic. We don't refund memberships automatically, including when a membership lapses or is cancelled. Cancelling stops the next renewal.
- Free founding memberships cost nothing, so there is nothing to refund.
- How to ask. Use our contact form and choose "Refund request." Include the email address on your account and the date of the charge.
- Where the money goes. Refunds go back to the card or payment method you used. Payments are processed by Stripe as merchant of record, and your bank typically shows the credit within 5 to 10 business days after we approve the request.
See our Terms (section 5) for how memberships, renewals and reminders work.
Before you file a chargeback
Please contact us first. We answer refund requests quickly, and it's faster for you than a dispute with your bank.
