After your Part 107 test: next steps

What to do after you pass, and what to do if you are not there yet.

If you passed the Part 107 knowledge test

  1. Apply for your remote pilot certificate through the FAA's IACRA system, as described on the FAA's Become a Certificated Remote Pilot page.
  2. Register your drone if it needs registration: FAA drone registration.
  3. Your first flight checklist. Use our printable pre-flight checklist, built from 14 CFR 107.49.

If you didn't pass yet

  1. Review the topics you missed on the exam practice page, then take another mock exam.
  2. Check the FAA's retesting rules and study materials on the FAA remote pilot page before you schedule again.
